It's great to have you drop in for a visit! Whether you're looking for information on my book, With or Without God, where and when I'm speaking, my take on theological and spiritual issues, my latest publications, my churchy or not-so-churchy interests, I hope you're able to find it and, if not, that something else will pique your interest and you will linger longer. Please take a moment to learn about the Progressive Christian Congregational Leadership Initiative that I am facilitating. You'll find information on it below. A "next step" in the work of shifting the worship and practice of Canadian mainline Christianity from its primary focus on traditional Christian doctrine and story to one celebrating the non-exclusive principles of compassionate living and right relationship with self, others, and the planet, it will be an important pilot project. If you are interested in participating or know someone who may be, please pass this along! I receive many emails and thank you for each of them. I do try to answer each email but that is getting more and more difficult. Because several of the questions I've been asked are repeated regularly, please do look to the FAQs section for a selection of them. I hope that, in time, it will be a fairly comprehensive digest of my responses to questions. And, if you spot an inconsistency in my thinking, think of this quote from a dear friend who, when confronted with the fact that something she had said differed from what she had said on a previous occasion, simply responded, "I've grown!" May we ever continue to do so! Life is rich and full. There are so many things I would like to get posted on this site and, over time, perhaps I will. In the meantime, I hope that what you do find here provides food for thought, opportunity for inspiration, that where it confronts you, you are invited into the debate and that where it delights you, you might celebrate our spiritual resonance. And, please don't hesitate to let me know what conjured up what kind of response in you. Although I can't guarantee I'll be able to respond to every email I receive, I will take the time to read them all. If you are not able to be respectful, I'm afraid I will not be able to respond at all. |

Songer/songwriter, Anthony Burbidge, introduced himself to me after I spoke one evening in Calgary, Alberta. His energy, enthusiasm, and deep, rich spirit remained with me following our brief conversation in the form of Anthony's 2007 CD, Newborn.
